This weekend I picked up a few goodies while visiting Napa. We visited Model Bakery which was featured on Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate for their famous English muffins. Do yourself a favor and try one when you are in Napa. Soooooo good.
We also spent some time in Michael Chiarello’s NapaStyle store. They sell little homemade jars of the Parmesan dip they serve at Bottega. You can also try some of his signature olive oils (I bought a bottle of his Meyer Lemon oil. Yum.) He also sells a variety of salts. You can try them all too. The Truffle salt was amazing but a little out of my price range. I bought a little tin of his Roasted Garlic Gray Salt. I figured that it would go great on almost anything.
This morning I toasted up one 1/2 of a Model Bakery English muffin and spread some of the Parmesan dip on top. Sprinkled some garlic salt on one “fried” egg to make an open faced sandwich. Sliced up a little kiwi on the side. Voila. Breakfast at home Napa style. I’m literally drooling remembering how good it was..
